The Village Hall provides a range of facilities including:

  • Kitchen with catering-grade equipment

  • Cutlery, crockery, glasses

  • Fully Wheelchair accessible

  • Seating for up to 144 people

  • Car parking for 71 vehicles

How to Book

The Village Hall and grounds can be used for many activities such as private parties, corporate events, sports, fitness, club and society activities and weddings.

​

This is a popular facility and can get busy. You have the option of booking the entire hall and field, or just the regions you need. We shall ask you about the number of visitors and vehicles to ensure there is sufficient capacity for you. The time you book needs to include your setup and clean-up.

Please check out our terms, prices and facilities and drop us a line using the link below and we shall make a reservation for you. This is secured when confirmed and your deposit has been received.

Particular Requirements

Some users have particular needs. We assume when a booking request is made that your needs are consistent with our standard offer. If you know that you have something that is special to you, even if you have had it before, please raise it with your booking. Our circumstances may have changed. Should your needs include any of the following, please complete the following questionnaire and submit it by email to ChieveleyVillageHall@gmail.com at the same time as making your request:

  • Your event may involve more than 200 guests;

  • Your event may involve more than 50 cars;

  • Your booking involves the whole hall or the whole field;

  • You would like to take any vehicles onto the field.

We can accommodate larger events, but our experience is that some need special care. It is best to prepare appropriately.

The Recreation Grounds

The grounds extend to around 9 acres and accommodate:

  • An 11-a-side adult football pitch (100 x 55)

  • A 7-a-side junior football pitch (60 x 40)

  • Cricket square and field

  • Children's play area

  • Multi-use games area (MUGA)

  • Skate park

  • Outdoor gym

  • Cricket nets

  • Many benches, picnic tables, happy people with prosecco and beer

  • Tree-lined walks and bins for use by dog-walkers.

There are three tennis courts and a pavilion which are for the exclusive use of members of Chieveley Tennis Club.

For the purposes of booking, we divide the field into three regions. You can book all three at once if you wish.

​

Parts of the grounds are accessible to the public at all times, these include the multi-use play area, children's playground and the edges of the field.

An Environmentally-Aware Hall

Chieveley Village Hall is seeking to reduce its carbon-footprint and become more sustainable. We encourage users to walk or cycle whenever possible. This also helps us use our carparking effectively.

We have reviewed our energy use and are looking for ways to become more efficient.

We take account of our environmental impact in the design decisions and choices we make.

Please help us in these efforts in the way that you use the facilitiy.
